The Story

Acalypha Hispida, commonly known as the Chenille Plant or Red Hot Cattail, is a beautiful tropical plant admired for its long, fuzzy, bright red flower spikes that resemble chenille yarn. These vibrant blooms cascade gracefully from the plant, creating a dramatic and eye-catching display. Ideal for hanging baskets or as a statement piece in your home.

How to care for your Acalypha -

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. In winter, reduce watering and keep the soil just barely moist to avoid root rot.

Light: Acalypha hispida thrives in full sun to partial shade. Place it near a south-facing window where it can receive plenty of bright, indirect light.

Humidity: Ideal humidity levels are between 45% and 50%.

Temperature: This plant prefers warm temperatures between 18°C to 27°C.

Fertiliser: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season to support healthy growth and flower production.
