Their fleshy foliage is a particularly rich deep purple and their trailing habit  make them exceptional plants for both hanging baskets, rockeries, and tropical borders. How to care for your Tradescantia -

Water: Can be prone to root rot so allow to dry out between waterings, water less so in winter. 

Light: Keep in bright indirect light, the brighter the more colour you will see on the leaves. 

Humidity: They enjoy humidity but it is not required. 

Temperature: Needs average to warm conditions 16-25°C but will be OK down to 10°C for short periods.
